Fans buy comic character
In this age of consumer-created content, this article from yesterday’s newspaper warms my heart. Fans have bought the rights to English football comic character Roy of the Rovers for £ 150, and they intend to relaunch this title.
Update : it turns out that that original press bulletin was a bit too optimistic. The Roy fans didn’t acquire the rights to the character, but rather bought some old strips for republishing (as is explained here). They are negotiating new strips, though. Still, it’s a nice price.
