Gluyas Williams

Filboid Studge showcases the work cartoonist Gluyas Williams did for Life Magazine.

Williams was an American cartoonist and illustrator mainly active in the first half of the 20th century. I had never heard of him before (even though there’s a more or less official website devoted to his work), and it is indeed a revelation. It reminds me of the best “Man who” work by H.M. Bateman. Just compare the cartoons below :
