Ted Slampyak of the Storyteller’s Workshop and current artist behind Little Orphan Annie, sheds a little light on how he goes about creating a strip when it’s not just a vocation, but also a job.  Quite interesting, especially the idea that a standardised way of working promotes creativity when it’s not readily on tap.

Illustrator Robert Ulman of Atom Bomb Bikini has a nice idea : recreate your favorite imaginary comic book covers. His take : Watchmen’s Silk Spectre, with Nite-Owl, Captain Metropolis and Hooded Justice on a Flash Comics parody. Very, very cute indeed, and very timely, what with all the hubbub about the Watchmen movie.
