Macaco

Joan Navarro of Viñetas continually presents forgotten comics gems from Spain. This time, it’s a beauty from the 1920′s : the (mostly) silent comic Macaco by K-Hito.

I love the crude lines, and the big splatches of color – that’s enough to enjoy this comic. They remind me of the children’s magazines I inherited from a great-aunt of mine.
