Van Reid sent me these ads from the August, 1937 issue of Good Housekeeping. It is indeed quite remarkable how many ads used a comic strip format in those days, to promote everyday products. These days comics are only used in ads targeted at children, or for pop culture reference purposes. Which is a pity.
