Every year, or so it seems, the Belgian Post Office issues a new set of stamps featuring Tintin. For next year, and probably meant to cash in on the release of the Secret of the Unicorn film, they are planning a sheet of stamps commemorating the several attempts to bring Tintin to the silver screen, or so Moulinsart has announced on Facebook.
The stamps feature scenes from the 1947 Crab With The Golden Shears puppetry film, the early Belvision feature animation version of The Black Island (1961) and Temple Of The Sun (1964), and The Blue Lotus from the 1990’s TV series, set side by side to images from the books they were based upon. Also included are two shots from the Mystery Of the Golden Fleece and The Blue Oranges, the quite hilarious Tintin movies form the early 60s.
Available at the Belgian Post site, when it happens.
