Too many professors

When Humo magazine asked Flemish artist Pieter van Eenoge was asked to provide an illustration for an article on highly educated people who can’t find suitable jobs, he came up with this beauty featuring all the smartest characters from Belgian comics. Sadly, though, they ran into a spot of bother in rights clearance, and the likenesses of the characters were changed ever so slightly. But not enough so as to make them unrecognizable.

Even if you don’t know the first thing about Belgian comics, you should at least recognize one Smartest Kid. And for the rest of you, I’ve added the names in the comments.

One Response to Too many professors

  1. Clockwise, left to right : Prof. Barabas (Suske & Wiske, Willy Vandersteen), Prof. Gobelijn (Jommeke, Jef Nys), Prof. Calculus (Tintin, Hergé), Jimmy Corrigan (The Smartest Kid On Earth, Chris Ware), Getafix the Druid (Astérix, Goscinny & Uderzo), Adhemar (Nero, Marc Sleen) and le Conte de Champignac (Spirou et Fantasio)

That's my opinion. But do leave yours:
