I’m not really that keen on the style of Flemish cartoonist and illustrator Ief Claessen, but he sure does a neat Chris Ware. This was published in an advertising supplement with De Tijd today, for Ernst & Young.

I know this monographcs but wow! everyone can see easily the difference between herriman s work and quimbies! but in this case I really think that was a Ware s art! It seems you put belgian and french flags on ware s houses!!
Ware certainly took his inspiration from old prints but obviously not his character s design!!
I like it. And I like your blog too. Since I discovered it, it is among my daily sites.
