Comics on Cups

Krystal cup art by Kevin Nowlan

You’ll find Kevin Nowlan‘s comics in the strangest places, or so it seems.  Earlier this year Nowlan did a series of posts on his blog about a number of comics he created for the Krystal hamburger restaurants’ plastic soda cups.   The strips were based on real-life testimonials from customers about their first time eating a Krystal.  Nowlan based his art on photos of the actual customer.

In all, Nowlan created six designs, but only four of them made it.  The other two got stuck in sketch limbo, comics’ very own version of development hell.

(via EclecticBox, always a good source for really ephemeral comics material)
