Goodbye, Kees

I just got news that legendary comics collector, dealer, antiquarian and general nice guy Kees Kousemaker passed away yesterday.  I met him only once, but he made me feel as if we had known each other all our lives, and even though he was without a doubt ten times more knowledgable about comics than I was, he at least made me feel as if I was able to tell him something new.

Life is a little colder now.  Goodbye, Kees.

The passing away of Kees is a real pity. He was well-known in the Dutch comic scene and I have fond memories of parties at Lambiek.

I hope he’s in comics heaven now. Rest in peace.

That's my opinion. But do leave yours:
