Couldn’t sleep last night, and so I tried the old Pick-A-Longbox game, ending up with Children Of the Voyager by Nick Abadzis and Paul Johnson, which is basically one of those short-lived horror comics that Marvel UK published somewhere in the 90’s and consequently got forgotten. It’s this very high-concept book in four parts about predestination and free will, and it got published with as little care about the story as possible, with Johnson’s great art interrupted constantly for comic mail order ads, or for garish “hip” advertisments like the one above. The fact that the story didn’t suffer too much of these, only supports its value and greatness…
