When rejection is the norm

Celebrated cartoonist and CCS director James Sturm tries to get a gag cartoon published in the venerated New Yorker Magazine.  That turns out to be very hard, as his account of the adventure in Slate attests.  Luckily, we get all of his proposals to judge for ourselves.
