Derf does the Slate Review

Venerable internet magazine Slate hopes to reinstate the old tradition of the book review with a monthly special section containing only that : book reviews.  Called The Slate Book Review (duh!), this standalone review section will take over Slate’s homepage every month and contain articles on any type of books.

Every week, a different cartoonist will provide illustrations to accompany the articles.  The first in what hopefully will be a long and illustrous line, is Derf Backderf, who contributed four illustrations, and also provided the section’s logo.

As they see, stay tuned!
