This week it’s been five years since Hugo Claus, one of my country’s most celebrated writers passed away, and as a commemoration a special full colour supplement was added to the Flemish daily De Morgen.
And since endless black & white photos of the writer in several stages of his life would get rather boring in the end, the editors asked two of Flanders’ most colourful cartoonists to contribute a few illustrations. Â To wit : Randall Casaer and Brecht Evens. Enjoy.
