Cartoonists’ portraits

Chris Schweizer of the Crogan Adventures is currently doing a “Character a day” feature on his blog, which is quite nice, even though he tends to lean towards design in rather drab colors.

While perusing his blog, though, I came across these quite funny portraits of various cartoonists that Schweizer likes or admires, such as Stan Sakai and Jeff Smith, but also Hugo Pratt, Jordi Bernet and many more. I was particularly struck by the likenesses of  Juan Díaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido (above), the creators of Blacksad and two of my absolute favorites.
