I’m always interested in projects that combine elements of popular or geek culture to create new visual designs. Heroic Words Of Wisdom is such a project, which has been around for a while but only just popped up on my radar (thanks to Brainstorm #9). Adam Thompson combines iconic visualisations of famous DC super-hero characters and pictures them together with a quote from their respective books.
The quotes are meant to summarize the character’s views on morals, values and life in general, and Thompson has thankfully opted not to pick the most well-known ones (Ã la Batman’s “Criminals are a cowardly lot”), but rather for more lengthy quotes that even may be of some use in our actual daily life. If anything, they speak of hope.
