X-ray speech bubble

It would seem that the speech bubble has totally fallen from grace in adland. I had to go all the way back to July, 2020 on Ads of the World to find one, and it’s a problematic one at that.

On the one hand, the message is clear : the small images on the right provide an explanation of the larger image on the left. But why use a speech bubble? Is the punching bag telling us it’s actually full of laundry?

Or is this a case of “if you read comics all day you’ll end up seeing them everywhere”, and this is not a bubble but a lasso?

At least it took my mind off lockdown for two minutes.
